The Defense Information System Network is the DOD’s enterprise telecommunications network for providing data, video and voice services for 46 defense agencies, including the U.S. Armed Forces: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard.

While 22 agencies consist of the Department of Homeland Security, these missions of preventing terrorism, enhancing security, responding to disasters and securing the U.S. border are conducted across many agencies across the Federal, State and Local governments.
Intelligence
The U.S. intelligence community consists of 17 agencies that are required to share information to support the foreign policy and national security of the United States.
Maritime
The U.S. is a maritime nation with 95,000 miles of coastline and 360 commercial ports to support our global supply chain and the U.S. merchant fleet and foreign container shipping companies.
Healthcare
Hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and insurers must protect individuals’ medical records and other personal health information under HIPAA, while incorporating technological advances to improve healthcare services.
Banking & Finance
Banks and financial institutions of all sizes must have the highest level of security to secure financial data and transactions while staying abreast of the risk environment and preventing cyber incidents.
